14View all questions
How do I sign up?
One-tap Facebook login. We use Facebook to keep accounts real and prevent throwaway-account spam. If you don't have a Facebook account, support can help you create an admin-invited account — message us.
What kind of stuff do you sell?
Liquidation pallets, Amazon and customer returns, overstock, shelf-pulls, and close-out merchandise. Categories include electronics, tools, home goods, kitchen, outdoor, gaming, smart home, and clothing. Inventory rotates weekly.
How often do you post new lots?
New auctions and drops every week — staggered throughout the week so we don't flood the app at once. Tap Remind Me on anything scheduled and we'll push you 10 minutes before it goes live.
What’s a max bid (proxy bid)?
A max bid lets you set the highest amount you’re willing to pay, and the app bids for you incrementally up to that ceiling. Other bidders never see your max — only the current bid. If your max gets beat, you’ll get a push notification so you can decide to raise. Note: once set, a max bid can only be increased, not lowered or cancelled.
What happens at the very end of an auction?
We use anti-snipe to keep things fair. A bid in the last 30 seconds extends the auction by 30 more seconds — but only the first time. After that first extension, any bid in the last 10 seconds extends by another 10 seconds, with no cap. The auction closes when bidding actually stops, not when the clock happens to hit zero.
Can other bidders see what I bid?
For regular auctions: everyone sees the current high bid, but nobody sees your max bid or who placed it (just a display name like "Sarah M."). For Best Offer drops: all bids are private — nobody, not even other bidders, can see what you typed. For Buy Now: there’s no winner announcement at all — you reserve, you get your own confirmation, nobody else hears about it. For Giveaways: the winner is announced publicly when the draw runs.
How do Giveaways work?
Free to enter, one tap per person. The moment the countdown hits zero, the app picks a random winner from everyone who entered — the draw is live on the giveaway page if you have it open, and the winner gets a push notification either way. Real prizes, no purchase necessary.
Do you ship?
No. Pickup at our Pinebluff warehouse only. Wednesday & Friday 10 AM – 5 PM, Saturday 9 AM – 12 PM. No shipping anywhere, ever — that’s how we keep prices low.
What fees do I pay?
Auctions and Best Offer wins include a 10% buyer’s premium. Buy Now items have no premium. All wins are subject to 7% NC sales tax and a 3% card processing fee. Every fee is shown up front on the invoice — no math at pickup.
What condition is the merchandise in?
Mostly customer returns, overstock, or shelf-pulls — so condition varies item to item. Each lot lists what we know (new / used / returns / shelf-pull / close-out). All sales are final, as-is, no refunds. We post photos and notes so you can decide before bidding.
Can I return something I won?
No. All sales final, as-is — it’s how liquidation works. We’re upfront about each lot’s condition in the description and photos. If you have questions about a specific item, message us before you bid.
What if I forget to pick up?
You have 7 days from when your auction settles. After that we may issue a strike against your account. Three strikes and the account gets suspended. Life happens — message us if you need to reschedule.
Are these real auctions?
Yes. Sandhill Wholesalers operates under NC Auctioneer Firm License NCAFL #11024. Every auction follows NC auction law: binding bids, transparent fees, real warehouse, real auctioneer.
How is this different from Facebook comments?
For 5+ years our auctions ran in the comments under Facebook posts. That worked, but it was chaotic — missed bids, duplicate winners, no anti-snipe, no real history. The app fixes all of that: swipe-to-bid, automatic anti-snipe extensions, max bids that hide your strategy, push notifications, and a real receipt at pickup.
